Definitely growing and I'm trying to
Endure it.
Sadly, I have not found the love,
Intense in its nature.
Ready, I am to
Experience this feeling
Desire is taking over.
Love...
Longing to feel its warmth,
Once agin. This hope is
Very strong,
Eternally growing.
Love is what I'm wanting.
Hope...
Holding onto the dream
Of finding someone who'll love me always
Patiently waiting for him.
Enter in-The Prince.
Hope-Constantly hoping.
Words...
Wanting you to know how I feel
Only my words you never hear.
Ruthlessly I continue
Songs that I wish to sing to you.
Words mean nothing without someone to say them to.
Faith...
Fruitlesslywriting
And it hurts to know
I might never meet you. Only
Time can tell. Till then I'll
Hold a spot for you in my heart.
Faith is something I need to work at.
Truth...
True Love. No
Regrets. Complete
Understanding of one another, having
Trust, unparalleled trust in our other
Half.
Truth in the words spoken, "I'll love you forever."
Forever...
Farther away than it seems
Really, no one knows when this life
Ends.
Very fragile our lives are,
Easily they can be ended. Why not
Receive and give love before it's too late.
Forever love can last.
I wrote this poem in the duration of this past week or so. I don't know exactly how I came about writing it. Sometimes random things inspire me. I actually think that it is good, even though it has no rhyme scheme of any sort, and it doesn't have meter at all. I feel that when you read it, though, it has a sort of beat to it. This poem has a couple of different elements to it. One element is loosing hope of finding love. Another element is realizing how little time forever actually is, and how little time we might have on this earth. The pain of past heartbreak and the pain of not having one are also elements in this poem. Longing, Dreaming, and Waiting all play big roles in this poem, too.
The pictures are all ones that were either taken of me or that i took and also edited. The top one is a picture i took of a sunset and rainbow on campus last year. It was awesome, because it was raining also, and the sunset was coloring everything, expecially the clouds. The sun was acutally setting on the opposite side of the sky. The second picture is one that was taken of me and a guy i was dating at the time, which i edited on http://www.picnik.com/. Picnik is an awesome photo-editing website. I also edited the third picture on Picnik, too; it is a picture I took of mine and a friends hand making a heart.
I decided to do something a little different with the layout of the poem, than i usually do. This time I did an accrosstic style poem. If you notice, The words that are bolded and italicized at the begginning of each stanza are also the words that I spell with each first letter of the lines in that stanza. The words I spelled (in case you didn't pick up on it, or something like that) are Desire, Love, Hope, Words, Faith, Truth, and Forever. These are also the underlying themes of the poem. Some of them are actually the main themes of the poem as well, such as Love, Hope, and Desire;
I know that some people might not be interested in the analysis I gave my poem. People might say, "Oh, that stuff is only for English or Literature classes." But I like to see what is actually buried deep inside the words, tone, or layout of the poem. Sometimes you realize that your subconsious comes to live through these elements of the poem, too. You realize that there is actually more meaning to your poem than what you originally had planned. It is probably true that i mis-used certain literary terms while analyzing my poem, but I believe that you(the reader) will still get the gist of what I am trying to get across in my analysis.
Well, i hope that i didn't bore anyone out there too much, and I hope that you all enjoy my poetry. I know i do. I hope that I am getting better, but that really can only be judged through the eyes of the beholder. Anyways, have a good week!!! And Stay healthy!!!
